Post Game Summary

The Florida Atlantic University football team dropped its final non-conference game of the season, losing to No. 11 Auburn 45-10 on Saturday.
The Owls (2-6, 1-4 C-USA) saw several career-firsts as the Tigers (7-1, 3-1 SEC) surpassed 600 yards of offense for its third consecutive game.

FAU's Jaquez Johnson threw for 133 yards and rushed for 58 more, including a 29-yard rushing touchdown. Daniel McKinney caught five passes for 64 yards on the night while Jonathan Wallace rushed for 37 yards.
Andrae Kirk led FAU on defense with a career-high 12 tackles. Sophomore Robinson Eugene earned his first career sack and had three solo tackles. Christian Milstead recorded his first career interception, which he caught on a deflection from teammate D'Joun Smith.
Sean Kelly had another stellar outing for the Owls, booming ten punts for an average of 46.2 yards. He placed two inside the 20-yard line, including a 63-yarder that tied his longest of the season.
The Tigers pieced together three touchdowns in the first quarter on drives of 78, 43 and 28 yards each. Auburn kept the ball on the ground for the first 14 plays, earning 185 yards before attempting its first pass.
FAU's first possession came to an end after just three plays when Wallace fumbled near midfield. That set up a 43-yard touchdown rush to put the Tigers on top 14-0.
The Owls' next drive ended with Kelly's 63-yard punt, but it was returned 70 yards by Chris Davis to the FAU 28-yard line. Auburn would score four plays later to take a 21-point advantage.
FAU's first scoring drive began with Johnson throwing 38 yards to get the Owls into Auburn territory. Johnson faked a handoff and ran around the left side for 29 yards to put the Owls on the board.
FAU scored on the opening drive of the second half as Mitch Anderson drilled a 31-yard field goal to cut the Auburn lead to 38-10. The Tigers responded with a six-play, 61-yard drive to end the scoring at 45-10 midway through the third quarter.
The Owls return home to host Tulane on Nov. 2 at FAU Stadium. That contest marks Homecoming for FAU and kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
